The Talking Book Program (TBP) provides free library services to qualifying Texans with visual, physical, or reading disabilities. TBP is part of the National Library Service to the Blind and Print Disabled, a program administered by the Library of Congress.

It also carries news of developments in services to people who are blind, visually impaired, or cannot read regular print material because of an organic physical disability. Kansas Talking Books provides personalized library support and materials in a specialized format to eligible Kansas residents to ensure that all may read. This no-cost library service features: Audio books, audio magazines, braille books, and braille magazines mailed directly to your house and returned postage free. The Talking Book and Braille Service (TBBS) provides audio and braille library service via mail or digital download to any Illinois resident who is unable to read standard print material due to a permanent or temporary visual or physical disability. The Talking Book Program provides free recorded books, magazines and playback equipment to approximately 15,000 eligible blind, visually impaired, print disabled and reading disabled Ohio residents.
